How to Buy Cosmic Gold ($COSG) | The Complete Guide

    So you are interested in Cosmic Champs but don't know how to get your cosmic hands on some of that Cosmic Gold ($COSG). No matter, @Cosmic L. Ron Hubbard is here to lend a cosmic hand. It may seem daunting at first, yet I assure you it is a fairly simple process. Cosmic Gold can easily be obtained via your PC or an Android / iOS device. Check out the steps below for a user friendly guide on how to do so.

How to set up your first Algorand wallet: 

For Mobile Devices:

1.) Scan the QR code below with your Android or iOS device to be redirected to the appropriate app store then download the Pera Wallet application.

2.) After downloading the App, first launch the application then Tap "I want to create a new account".

3.) Now tap "Create a new account"

4.)  Review the account creation overscreen then tap "I Understand".

5.) Review the important preparation details before tapping "I'm Ready to Begin".

6.) You'll then verify your passphrase by selecting a few key words in the phrase.

 

7.) You can name your account what ever you like.

8.) That's it! You should now see the account you just set up listed in the App. Now you are ready to get some $ALGO and exchange it for some $COSG.

How to Buy Algorand ($ALGO):

There are many ways to buy Algorand. I recommend using an exchange like Coinbase or Binance. I use Coinbase but you can also buy Algorand directly in the Pera Wallet App via Moon Pay. If you buy Algorand from Moon Pay you will be paying a fee to do so and will receive less Algorand than you would buying Algorand on Coinbase.

1.) Go to Coinbase  via the link to sign up for an account. If you use the link provided you will receive 10$ in Bitcoin and so will I. You can easily exchange this Bitcoin for Algorand then into Cosmic Gold when you receive it, as I will be doing so (Thank you, in advanced!).

2.) Fill in the details and tap "Create Account".

3.) Verify your email address.

4.) Set up two-step verification.

5.) Verify your Identity with a photo of your ID or Drivers License.

6.)  Add a payment method. I use my bank account for large purchases, but they can take up to two weeks to clear. In this waiting period you cannot send your Algorand to your Algorand wallet. I recommend using your Debit Card if you do not wish to wait the 2 week period.

7.) From the Coinbase home screen tap "Buy".

8.) Type Algorand into the search bar. Tap Algorand.

9.) Enter the value of the quantity of Algorand you wish to purchase then tap "Preview Buy".

10.)  Preview your order. It will display the amount of Algorand you will receive, the amount of USD it will cost including the fee. (On my example there is no fee, I am subscribed to Coinbase One.)  Tap "Buy now" to finalize the transaction.

11.)  From the Coinbase home screen tap "Send".

12.) Enter the value of Algorand you wish to send or hit "Max"

13.) On the next screen you will be required to enter your Algorand Wallet address. You can simply switch back to the Pera Wallet App and follow these steps to copy you address.

Tap the account you wish to receive your Algorand.

Tap the three dots in the right corner.

Tap "Copy Address" or "Show QR code".

14.) After you switch back to Coinbase, paste the address in the search bar at the top, then tap "Preview Send"

15.) Tap "Send now"

You have just sent Algorand to your Algorand wallet.

How to buy Cosmic Gold ($COSG):

Now that we have that taken care of you are ready to buy yourself some Cosmic Gold ($COSG). You can get Cosmic Gold at many exchanges on the Algorand Network. Personally I prefer to use Humble Swap. They have a beautiful user friendly interface, there are no complicated features or burdensome redeemable amounts like Tinyman. They also have the most $COSG out of any of the exchanges out there, so typically you are getting the best price. In this guide we will be using Humble Swap.

1.) Go to Humble Swap (I recommend bookmarking the page to avoid being redirected to the wrong page via a search engine.)

2.) Tap "Connect".

3.) Tap "Pera Wallet".

4.) Tap "Launch Pera Wallet".

5.)  From the Pera Wallet App tap "Connect".

6.) From Humble Swap tap "Select Token".

7.) In the search bar type "Cosmic Gold" then tap the "Cosmic Gold" button underneath the search bar.

8.) Enter the amount of Algorand you wish to swap over to Cosmic Gold.

9.)  Tap "Opt-In to COSG" to be able to receive the asset (since this is the first time you are recieving it).

10.) Sign the transaction from the Pera Wallet by tapping "Confirm"

11.) From Humble Swap Tap "Swap Tokens"

12.) Tap "Confirm"

13.) From Pera Wallet tap "Confirm" to finalize the transaction.

You have just bought your first batch of Cosmic Gold!
