With statistical analysis it's apparent that NFTs are trending with investors. Upon further investigation monthly sales of Algorand NFTs peaked at 48k+ sales (6.7M Algorand) in September alone.

Defying expectations of the current market conditions the sentiment regarding NFTs on Algorand are thriving; this includes FIFA+Connect NFTs and a cast of comical characters ranging any where from zany images of phalanges, rabbits, various lizards, birds and primates galore.


Sure, NFT profile pictures to display on your twitter or discord are nice to look at. Some of these  NFTs even reward holders with airdrops for continuing to hold them. But they lack utility; this leaves holders yearning for the next big thing or wave of innovation in the NFT space.


Some may be asking themselves "Well, what now?"


Ride The New Wave

I personally believe GameFi and Play-To-Earn gaming is the next big wave to shift the NFT space to a new horizon. Cosmic Champs has shook up the NFT space after their NFT launch at the end of June through the first few weeks of July. After the Season 1 Cosmic Champs NFTs were minted via Algogems in a weeks time Cosmic Champs climbed the analytics ladder on NFTexplorer and overtook the number 1 position in secondary sales on the 7d chart, which was impressive to say the least.






Cosmic Champs and other Gamefi projects are offering something more to the investor than 2D profile pictures.  Cosmic Champs is delivering a way to utilize your NFTs, earn rewards, and have fun doing so.  Cosmic Champs NFTs are utilized as units in their upcoming online multiplayer PvP strategy game. Currently Cosmic Champs and the community is beta testing the Android version of the game, and here soon they will be beta testing the iOS version of the application and has been met with outstanding praise.

 

Players from the community have been facing off head to head in intense player versus player battles and helping shape the future of the game itself.  The community is honing their skills on the battlefield in anticipation to earn $COSM (Cosmic Matter) after the official release of Cosmic Champs. The $COSM earned could then be utilized to procure more Cosmic Champs NFTs or be exchanged on one of the exchanges native to Algorand to do with what ever you may desire.

Made Shapes, the gaming studio developing Cosmic Champs, has put a lot of thought and effort into this project; not to mention the big plans they have in store for Cosmic Champs and their prospective NFTs.






You can see in the image above they are working on developing their own Cosmic Champs marketplace, a VR space for Cosmic Fanatics to congress, merchandise in the form of Cosmic Fashion, and last but not least Cosmic Champs NFTs will be utilized in games developed by Mad Shapes beyond Cosmic Champs.

Cosmic Champs is one of the few projects on the Algorand Blockchain that are providing investors with 3D assetts in the form of NFTs. I must say these NFTs are stellar and the effort put into creating these works of art do not go unappreciated.

With all this said gamers alike know that gaming brings people together and a sense of community; the team behind Cosmic Champs knows this well.  Despite their heavy work load the team behind Cosmic Champs are active in their community discord server, and have been drumming up some fun ways to engage with the community.  Cosmic Champs had announced in a twitter post that you can play the Cosmic Champs closed beta with the CEO Matty Blancard starting Tuesday (3PM EST) with the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

I wouldn't settle for less.
